My research has focused on aquatic insects, especially dragonflies, mayflies, and caddisflies. Additionally, I have conducted research in science education and environmental education.

What’s your favorite thing about Stone Lab?

Teaching in the field in small groups. Actually experiencing the behavior and ecology of aquatic insects as we sample various habitats.

What are your hobbies?

In my spare time, I garden, have tea, travel, refinish furniture, teach workshops, take care of my English Mastiff (which is a full-time job in itself), and watch insects going about their daily lives while doing all the above.

Something interesting about you?

I have taught for 7 years at a field station in The Bahamas in conjunction with The College of The Bahamas (Bio 300) and The Bahamian Reef Environment Education Foundation (BREEF).
