First time in 1985, then regularly since 1994.

Childhood in Ohio; grew up in Pennsylvania; working at Utica College in New York for the last 33 years.

Where did you do your studies?

M.S. in Aquatic Plants @ OSU
Ph.D. in Phycology @ OSU

What’s your research about?

Floristics and long-term changes in the aquatic plant communities in western Lake Erie; botanical history.

What’s your favorite thing about Stone Lab?

Being able to teach students about aquatic plants in the best aquatic plant environment in all of the Great Lakes!

What are your hobbies?

Music, painting, and gardening.
