I study many aspects of fish ecology and fisheries management and conservation. My focus of late has been studying variation in parental behavior and the consequences for recruitment and fisheries management.
I love the small class sizes and the interactions with the students in the field and the classroom.
Cooking, cross-country skiing, fishing, kayaking.
I met my wife, Dr. Kristin Arend, at OSU. She also teaches Ichthyology at Stone Lab in some years.
