Each year, Stone Lab awards nearly 40 scholarships to students and educators with financial need and superior academic records. All those taking for-credit courses are eligible for this assistance, which ranges from $100 to $2,500 per application.

Scholarship funds may still be available after the deadline. Interested students should contact the Stone Lab Columbus Office for more information.
Complete the college scholarship application, available for download on the Apply Now page, and submit it along with your course application to the address below. High school students should send a course application, along with a Scholarship Request as outlined on the high school course application.
In addition Stone Lab funds, Great Lakes Education Scholarships are also available for educators taking Great Lakes Education.

“I have integrated an outdoor forest composition activity I learned in my Field Ecology class at Stone Lab into my own biology class back at
home. At Stone Lab, we did the exercise in different forests around the islands, comparing dominant tree species at different sites. I now take my
students outside our school building to conduct forest composition surveys on school grounds. They are able to gather data in the real world and
then conduct data analysis back in the classroom lab. ”
