Guest Lectures

Join us Thursday evenings (mid-June through mid-August) for the Stone Lab Guest Lecture Series. Hear about current Lake Erie research topics and get status updates from representatives of our State agencies. There are three ways the public can attend:

See the Keynote Lecture Live On Gibraltar!

Hop aboard the Boardwalk water taxi at 7:15 ($3 each way, payable to boat driver) and visit us on Gibraltar Island where our staff will greet you with a brief introduction to our program and the island before leading you up to our lecture hall in time for our keynote speaker. Don’t forget to grab your favorite Stone Lab gear while our “Shop on the Rock” is open that evening!

Evening Open House at the AVC!

On lecture nights from 6pm − 9pm our Aquatic Visitors Center will be open for extended touring hours (no fishing), and will host a live broadcast of the Guest Lecture from Gibraltar Island starting at 7pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to hear both the research lecture (7:00 pm) as well as the keynote lecture (8:00 pm).

Watch at Home!

Feel like staying in? No problem! Watch all of our lectures from the comfort of your own home via a live web seminar from any computer with internet access. Register at the links below to receive information on how to log in.
